Reader’s Question:

What are the provisions to get a hold of the constrained license in a Texas DWI or a Texas ALR suspension case?

Ray

Brazosport, TX

Thank you Ray of Brazos Port Texas, for posting your query. What you need to do to be able to take a hold of your confiscated license in Brazosport Texas is that you need to mail into the Brazos Port Texas Department of Public Safety, a certified copy of the court order granting the occupational license. You may need to also attach the following to your certified copy of the court order:

1. An original pink SR-22 official document of insurance. The original pink SR-22 certificate is the lone verification of insurance suitable.
2. A ten dollar license fee payment for a one-year license or less. The greatest time taken of issuance is a two year license for twenty dollars, given that the court order approves of this duration of time.
3. A one hundred twenty five dollar constitutional restoration fee for the Administrative License Revocation, if necessary; furthermore
4. An accomplished SR-37 form to type the occupational license.

However, I must warn you Ray that the Texas Department of Public Safety will call for that every single one of the reinstatement fee or fees be paid preceding to the giving out of the occupational or limited license.
